VISION: The MOUNTAIN above Canada

Vision: Mountain and Flood over Canada.
A couple of months ago I received a spiritual, symbolic vision from the Lord Jesus Christ.

I was at church praying in our prayer service and the Lord suddenly showed me the whole map of Canada, slowly being submerged under water. Then I saw a mountain above Canada, and it was most impressive. It was small at first, but kept growing as it needed to, and it could be reached from any place within Canada (or from anyplace in the world for that matter).
All the valleys were flooded out and even Canada's tallest natural mountain, Mount Logan in the Yukon at a massive 5,956m above sea level was eventually dwarfed by this gigantic mountain.

The Mountain I saw was never submerged. It was hovering above Canada, much like the crown is hovering at the top of Canada's coat of arms (see picture below). And all who were willing, went UP to the Mountain.
I figured now was the right time to share this since in the last day or two, there has been significant natural flooding in part of Southern Ontario.
http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/kitchener-waterloo/grand-valley-grca-grand-river-conservation-authority-kitchener-storm-1.4174860
This is sad news for the Kitchener area, and I pray for those affected to be restored. May they cry out to the one true God, Jesus Christ. One of the towns affected was Grand Valley... near the Grand River. This natural event matches the spiritual vision I had a few months back: I had seen the "valleys of Canada" flooded in the spirit, several months ago. And now, we see here an actual town named Grand Valley being literally flooded.

I don't believe in coincidences. I feel the Lord is trying to get our attention.

Isaiah 59:19 (GENEVA)
So shall they fear [respect] the Name of the Lord from the West, and his glory from the rising of the Sun; for the enemy shall come like a flood; but the Spirit of the Lord shall chase him away.

Isaiah 59:19 (KJV)So shall they fear the name of the Lord from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.

On Canada's coat of arms one latin phrase reads "Desiderantes Meliorem Patriam" on the round red ribbon in the center, around the shield. That's Latin for "They desire a better country". That phrase comes from the Bible and was added to our coat of arms in 1994.

Canada's Coat of Arms (above) has two phrases from the Holy Bible on it, in Latin

Here is the original text that Canadian officials drew from:
Hebrews 11:16 English Standard Version (ESV)
16 But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

So if we keep reading the book of Hebrews we learn that The Heavenly Country is Mount Zion, also known as the Heavenly Jerusalem (not the earthly Jerusalem):
Hebrews 12:22-25
22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, 23 and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
25 See that you do not refuse him who is speaking. For if they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape if we reject him who warns from heaven.

So the question is: are YOU enrolled in heaven? Are you going up to the MOUNTAIN of the LORD? You can do it right NOW! You can access New Jerusalem from wherever you are, by entering the Door, JESUS CHRIST!
Jesus declared:
John 10:9 English Standard Version (ESV)
9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.

Don't wait. Ask Jesus and enter into His kingdom right now. He LOVES you and wants you to live forever. He paid for your sins (shortcomings and lawless deeds) on the cross. He died and rose again, to save you! Enter today... access the mountain... go on UP! You reach the heavenly, better country, the New Jerusalem! It is eternal, and your citizenship is attainable TODAY. You get your passport and citizenship through Jesus, the DOOR. Citizenship is attainable as SOON as you apply! If you don't repent, sin will flood you out. You will be forever separated from God in hell. But God does not want that. He wants you to change your ways (repent) and head into the door, Jesus Christ! No matter what your past was, it can be washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. You can be clean. In Christ, you are IMMEDIATELY ELIGIBLE for citizenship in The New Jerusalem!! Just believe in Jesus.
And finally, God is allowing a different kind of flood into Canada, not a natural one. He is allowing adversity to flood our valleys. He wants us to head UP.... out of our comfort zones... out of our complacency, out of our low perspective, out of sin, out of compromised truth, and out of hiding. God is calling us UP through Christ...
INTO His City,
INTO His country,
INTO His right living
INTO His faith
INTO His Salvation
INTO The truth
INTO His love
INTO a place of true security that no disaster or false belief can touch
INTO eternal life.
I do not believe my vision is to be taken literally, but as a spiritual symbol of what the Lord wants for Canada in 2017. It is time to GO UP GOD's MOUNTAIN! God is allowing the spiritual flood of opposition to cause discomfort in the valley and to cause us to rise up in prayer and in obedience to Christ's Call and great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20).
Our lead pastor, Rev. Steve Coates recently preached at Church On The GO about this passage in Micah 4, and it really resonated with what the Lord had shown me in this vision:

Micah 4:1-5 English Standard Version (ESV)
The Mountain of the Lord
1 It shall come to pass in the latter days
that the mountain of the house of the Lord
shall be established as the highest of the mountains,
and it shall be lifted up above the hills;
and peoples shall flow to it,
2 and many nations shall come, and say:
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord
,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
that he may teach us his ways
and that we may walk in his paths.”
For out of Zion shall go forth the law,
and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
3 He shall judge between many peoples,
and shall decide disputes for strong nations far away;
and they shall beat their swords into plowshares,
and their spears into pruning hooks;
nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
neither shall they learn war anymore;
4 but they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree,
and no one shall make them afraid,
for the mouth of the Lord of hosts has spoken.
5 For all the peoples walk
each in the name of its god,
but we will walk in the name of the Lord our Godforever and ever.

John 8:58 English Standard Version (ESV)
58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.”

Let's go up to Heavenly Zion, like Micah 4:2 declares! Let's get our Heavenly citizenship... through Jesus. Canada, it's time to rise up, go up, take the highest ground! Jesus is calling. Canada has become a place like Micah 4:5... a place of many gods and there is confusion and disagreement on ground level. But we can choose to walk in the name of the LORD our GOD (v5).

What is the Name of the Lord God?
Philippians 2:10
so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Our Canadian heritage is about desiring a better country. It's on our coat of arms. And now, that coat of arms has been restored to the brand new $10 bill. I recently had the chance to look at it. So the Word of God is on our new bills, and it's on our coat of arms, in Latin... both Psalm 72:8 (from sea to sea) and Hebrews 11:16 (they desire a better country).

Let's go up to the Better Country, New Jerusalem! Jesus is the Door!
Blessings

God's Sovereignty

God gives rulership to whoever He wants, no one can stop Him or avert His good and righteous plan.
As A.W. Pink once wrote:
"The sovereignty of the God of Scripture is absolute, irresistible, infinite. When we say God is sovereign, we affirm His right to govern the universe, which He has made for His own glory, just as He pleases... He is under no obligation to give account of His matters to any." (A.W. Pink, The Sovereignty Of God, pg 21)

A Pagan ruler Nebuchadnezzar, King of Babylon, was given revelation about God's sovereignty:
Daniel 4:29 GNV
"And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass, as the oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou knowest, that the most High beareth rule over the kingdom of men, and giveth it unto whomsoever he will."
See this absolute sovereignty stated again in the New Testament in Romans 13:1-3
Romans 13:1-3 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV)
"1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers: for there is no power but of God: and the powers that be, are ordained of God.
2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist, shall receive to themselves condemnation.
3 For Magistrates are not to be feared for good works, but for evil. Wilt thou then be without fear of the power? do well: so shalt thou have praise of the same."
Same passage in the ESV:
Romans 13:1-3 English Standard Version (ESV)
1Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.
3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,
God has sovereignty over all nations at all times and works His multi-faceted plan in ways we cannot fathom. Many of us have a list of things we think need to happen in Canada, (or in another country like the US) but God alone knows ALL that needs to happen in our nations. Remember that if you don't like who is leading, pray for them and remember that God set them there to accomplish HIS will (not theirs). These rulers may think that they are accomplishing their own will but just keep in mind that God is working His own will, and doing what needs to be done to wake up His church and His people. We should always pray that God puts the right people in power. And He will answer those prayers, even when we can't understand God's choices.
Habakkuk 1:6 GNV
"For lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and furious nation, which shall go upon the breadth of the land to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs."

We can rest assured that God does what is best and will sometimes place wicked rulers in power for a season. In the Bible, this is often how God dealt with His people when they refused to repent from continuous sin on a national level.
Sometimes and in some seasons, He places righteous rulers in power (2 Chron. 34:1-3). It all depends on what God, who is always pure (Hab. 1:13), righteous (Psa. 25:8), and holy (Psa. 99:5) , wants to do. Study the Scriptures, and ask The Holy Spirit to teach you the will of the Lord. Rest in the peace of knowing that God, your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ, is in charge and is taking care of you!

Luke 12:7 GNV
"Yea, and all the hairs of your head are numbered: fear not therefore: ye are more of value than many sparrows."

No election result, or plot, or political corruption, or other device of humans can stop or change that fact.

Proverbs 19:21 GNV
"Many devices are in a man’s heart: but the counsel of the Lord shall stand."

God Bless

God Sets Up Governments. Do you Trust Him?

Christians: The Question is not whether or not you trust the Prime Minister of Canada or (for Americans) the President, or the current Candidates. The ultimate question is, Do you trust The Lord Jesus in what He is currently doing?
Take a look at these verses to think about God's sovereign hand in all nations.
Romans 13:1 ESV
13 Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.
-----
Psalm 4:4-5 GENEVA
Tremble and sin not: examine your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.
Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the Lord.

-----

Note that David was under persecution from the governing authority, Saul, at the time he wrote Psalm 4. Saul was set up by God. And he was eventually removed by God for disobedience. But God did allow persecution to come to David, through Saul.
The truth is, God sets up rulers and he takes them down again. He is sovereign over everything.
Will you trust in the Lord more than in Canada? Will you trust in the Lord more than in The United States? Will you trust the Lord even though he instituted a Prime Minister you may, or may not like? Will you trust in the Lord even though He institutes presidential candidates you might not care for?

The issue is, and always will be, that we must continually trust the Lord. He alone is in control of all nations at all times. Yes rulers do their plans. Jesus allows it for a time. But The Lord works a greater good that we cannot necessarily see. And He does it through all kinds of leaders. Just read through the Old Testament for many historical examples.

Should we pray and then go out to vote in elections? Absolutely! But keep in mind the following verse:
Proverbs 19:21 GENEVA
21 Many devices are in a man’s heart: but the counsel of the Lord shall stand.
---
So many devices, like elections, and laws and plans are in mankind's power. But ultimately it will always be the Lord's plan and counsel that is established. Don't be fooled into thinking that human democracy somehow overrules God's kingly sovereign influence. God always gets His way. God is looking not just at countries but also at the spiritual health of his churches within those nations. Are they hot for Jesus, or lukewarm? Have we grown too complacent?
Let us learn to trust the Lord and pursue Him with spiritual passion. See, if we didn't have difficult times in politics, when would we ever look to the Lord in trust? The goal is always that we should pray for leaders...  and put our faith and trust firmly in Jesus Christ who is God and Lord of all.
Do you trust the Lord in what He is doing in the current Canadian political landscape? Even if we don't understand it, we can STILL trust the Lord! This goes for Americans too! I don't profess to know even half of what God is currently doing. I do know that I can trust the Lord.
I do not necessarily agree or disagree with the strong opinions I have been hearing here in Canada and also from my American friends. I mostly do a lot of listening and observing. And in the end, it is not my opinion that matters. God's counsel is what stands.
Habakkuk did not understand why God established worldly and bitter leaders.
He did not comprehend God's workings in politics... BUT he still trusted the Lord, because he knew the Lord. He knew that the Lord is righteous only, and pure. He knew that God's plans are good even when there are bad people in charge. Sometimes, God uses worldly leaders, and their persecution, to bring revival to churches, and reignite passion for Jesus.
Habakkuk 1:5-7 GENEVA
Behold among the heathen, and regard, and wonder, and marvel: for I will work a work in your days: ye will not believe it, though it be told you.
For lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and furious nation, which shall go upon the breadth of the land to possess the dwelling places that are not theirs.
They are terrible and fearful: their judgment, and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.
----
Habakkuk shows that his trust in God is unwavering.
Habakkuk 3:16-19 GENEVA
16 When I heard, my belly trembled: my lips shook at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: for when he cometh up unto the people, he shall destroy them.
17 For the fig tree shall not flourish, neither shall fruit be in the vines: the labor of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat: the sheep shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no bullock in the stalls.
18 But I will rejoice in the Lord: I will joy in the God of my salvation.
19 The Lord God is my strength: he will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on Neginoth.
---
God bless you as you put all your trust in Jesus, and not in your own understanding.

Prose on Pros

Prose on Pros:
I'm for life and marriage and the perfect timeless word of God.
I believe like the Peace Tower says, its righteousness that keeps the Canadian flagpole upright in the sod.
Pro-life, pro-one-man-one-woman-marriage, pro-senior, pro-children, pro-babies, pro-people, pro-repentance, pro-righteousness, pro-mercy, pro-God.
But to sum it all up and what I am for, it's more complete to say I'm pro-Jesus,
He will save us from east to west shore.
Us to the right Way, will He restore.
He is the example, the only One, who shows exactly what I am for.

Stand for Jesus, and you stand for what's right.

Welcome to my Blog!

Welcome!
Thanks for clicking on my blog, Viewfinder and welcome! Here you will likely get to hear all kinds of thoughts I have on life, everything from Jesus and Scripture, to coffee and guinea pigs. If we were together in person, I might invite you to the nearest Tim Hortons for a cup of coffee (if you're not Canadian, that's a popular coffee shop for us Canucks.)

I used to have a website years ago called "Through the viewfinder" about my photographs. It was just a hobby site that no longer runs, but I decided to bring that title back again. This time, it has more meaning to me. Yes, as a photographer I look through viewfinders to take pictures.

The Prophet Got it Right
But, spiritually, I think the prophet Habakkuk got it right. He needed to find a new and higher point of view, when his world around him was crumbling. He got it right when he said:

" I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved." (Hab.2:1 KJV)

The Lord God was the One he was waiting on, and God did answer him. In verse 2 God tells Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain (obvious) for others to read. What God shows me, I believe I am to write it also.

Canada's Tower Of Vision
And speaking of towers: Here in Canada, in the 1920's John Pearson designed the Peace Tower that now stands as a part of Ottawa's Center Block on Parliament Hill. This monument is a Canadian Icon, and is featured on the backs of our fifty and twenty dollar bills. It reaches a height of 92.2 m (302 feet and 6 inches). On three sides of the outside of this tower, are three verses right out of the Holy Bible. They are visible from the ground in raised stone lettering as you walk up to the tower. I was there to take pictures and research it in August of last year.

Two verses are from Psalm 72:1 and Psalm 72:8. The third face has a Bible verse from Proverbs 29:18:

"WHERE THERE IS NO VISION, THE PEOPLE PERISH"

This verse, plus the other two are held high above the ground. These verses exalt the Lord God, of the Christian Bible. The Prime Minister and all his cabinet, the opposition and their cabinet, and all the other parties form under this scripture.

Ours is a tower that declares vision, just like Habakkuk's verse! Let's pray that Jesus can be the Lord of this nation once again. Jesus has helped me find His view of things, by showing me His word. I hope to share some of it with you!

More to come...
