Hello everyone, and this is a quick post to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR in 2022!!
I know things have been tough for many of us, but I really want to encourage you as a believer in Jesus to focus on His promise and His Word and His Work. He fulfills the Old Testament Ordinance of Jubilee... every 50th year, the servants would be released, property would be returned to its original owner, and families were reunited. It was a year of REST, RELEASE, REDEMPTION and REALIZATION! It brought HOLY LIBERTY to the people of Israel and even to the strangers within the land.
Today, through the Death Burial and Resurrection of our God and Saviour, Jesus Christ, we can have ETERNAL LIBERTY and FREEDOM from our own sin nature. Forgiveness in Christ alone! We are justified by PURE GRACE, through faith, not by our works. (See Eph 2:8)
Leviticus 25:10 NKJV
And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year,
and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its
inhabitants.
It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall
return to his possession,
and each of you shall return to his family.
Jesus is Our Jubilee! He fulfills Leviticus 25:10.
Luke 4:18 NKJV
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
Because He has anointed Me
To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
Notice that Jesus, while quoting Isaiah 61 verses 1-3 mentions liberty twice... and that is the very essence of Jubilee.... it is the liberty and freedom from slavery and sin. It is the pure and holy liberty to claim the good promises both natural and spiritual, the things that God provides for His people. We are NOW at liberty to enjoy walking with Jesus, practicing the truth in His Holy Spirit. We are, in Christ alone, at liberty to cast away sin and walk in righteous grace-filled, Holy Spirit-led life and light.
Walk with Jesus in close relationship to Him. Enjoy and watch what God can and will do for those who love Him who respond to His Calling and His Purpose! (Rom 8:28)
God bless, in Jesus.
